Bettman confirms salary cap increase

The Salary Cap is currently at $83.5 Million heading into the 2023-24 season. It has increased by $1 Million since last year, and has been slowly trending upwards since the lost revenue of the 2019-20 season.

According to Pierre LeBrun of TSN, Gary Bettman told owners after the Board of Governors meeting that revenue projections suggest a Salary Cap between $87 M and $88 M for the 2024-25 season.

That will be an increase somewhere between USD $3.5 - 4.5 Million.

The Cap Floor will also see a dramatic increase, making it more difficult for teams trying to rebuild while spending less money doing so.
