Today, The Vegas Golden Knights have traded 32-year-old Reilly Smith to the Pittsburgh Penguins for a third-round pick.

The sole purpose of this move by Vegas is to clear some cap space. With this move, the Golden Knights have $5 Million available.

The right-winger had a productive postseason with Vegas, producing 4 goals and 14 points in all 22 games.

Smith had a great regular season, scoring 26 goals and adding 30 assists for 56 points in 78 games.

In his playoff career, he has scored 26 goals and put up 79 points in 106 games.
