Here's the latest of what's been going on around the league on December 3rd, 2021.





Ducharne to remain Montreal Canadiens head coach for the remainder of the 2021-22 season


As new Executive Vice President of the Canadiens, Jeff Gorton went for a news conference where he confirmed that Dominique Ducharme will remain the head coach for the season.

The Canadiens are last in the Atlantic division with a record of 6-17-2 through 25 games.



The NHL showcased the 21/22 Stadium Series Jerseys

Nashville fans are not happy with these jerseys. The backlash is allover twitter as people rip these jerseys apart, some even go as far to call them the "ugliest piece of clothing ever made".

The Tampa Bay stadium series jerseys are, however, significantly better than those poor taste Nashville Predators jerseys.



Arizona Coyotes strongly deny rumors of relocation


Rumors began circulating online Thursday morning about a potential move to Houston for the Arizona Coyotes, almost immediately the owner stepped up to state this was completely false and that the team is committed to the Valley of the Sun.


The Coyotes ownership has a big business plan for the City of Tempe to build a brand new 17,000-capacity arena in the city. They're waiting to hear a response from the city on this. There are short-term solutions lined up for next season when the Coyotes lose their current home stadium, Gila River Arena in Glendale.



Jack Eichel hit the ice for the Vegas Golden Knights following neck surgery


It's only been a month since Eichel got surgery on his neck, but he is back on the ice and eagerly getting ready to join his new team.


Eichel had an artificial disk replacement on November 12, and has recovered enough to skate laps in Vegas.

Eichel was acquired by the Golden Knights on November 4th in a multi-player blockbuster trade with the Buffalo Sabres which sent Alex Tuch and Peyton Krebs out east.


There is still no timeline on when Eichel will return to the lineup, but its believed he is right on track to.


Blackhawks' Tyler Johnson out 3-months following neck surgery

Announced today by the Blackhawks, Tyler Johnson underwent neck surgery and will be out for three-months. He went through the same procedure as Jack Eichel, an artificial disk procedure in an attempt to manage his neck pain.
