The Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Kyle Davidson has been trying to trade away his top players since stating that the Blackhawks would be entering a rebuild back at the 2022 Trade Deadline.

There remains only six weeks until the regular season begins. However, both Kane and Toews have admitted they don't plan to stick around Chicago for a rebuild and hope to be moved.

According to Frank Seravelli of The Daily Faceoff, that still hasn't changed. However, Kane would like to stick around until the beginning of the season before making a decision on his future with the Blackhawks.

One thing that Seravelli did reveal that hadn't previously been mentioned was that Kane reportedly has 3 preferred destinations.

The teams Kane chose where the Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Edmonton Oilers appear to be strongly pursuing Patrick Kane.

With the preseason beginning next month, it will be interesting to see if any of those three teams make a late push for Kane's Stanley Cup playoffs experience.

Kane’s cap hit is currently $10,500,000 as he enters his final year of an 8-year, $84 Million contract signed back in 2015-16 with Chicago.
