How Boeser won a Canucks fan $100,000 on Wednesday Night

The Vancouver Canucks took down the Edmonton Oilers 8-1 in their season opener. However, the Canucks were not the only winners that came out of tonight's game.

Brock Boeser had the best night of his career. The forward scored four goals, and led the team to a commanding win over one of the top teams in the Western Conference.

Save-On-Foods has held its Million Dollar score & win promotion with several Canadian teams (Jets, Flames, Oilers and Canucks) for quite a while now. Only one person has ever won the $1 Million prize, and that was back on November 24, 2018 when Patrik Laine scored five goals as a member of the Winnipeg Jets.

Only in recent years has Save-On-Foods changed its rules, where on top of their 5 goal, $1 Million Dollar prize, they now also reward a $100,000 prize for any player who scores four goals in a single game.

Luckily for one resident of Burnaby, BC, Boeser scored four goals on Wednesday night, and they will be claiming the $100,000 prize.

This will be the first time that a Canucks player has won somebody a prize on the Save-On-Foods Score and Win. Due to the last time a Canuck scored four goals, the contest was not giving prizes away for four goals in a game.

Due to privacy reasons, we will not be including the winners name on our article. However, the name is publicly shown on the Save-On-Foods website.

They are not the first person to win the $100,000 prize, and they will likely not be the last with scoring increasing across the league.
