Watch: Did Huberdeau just confirm his plans to leave Calgary after the next season?

In what was seemingly an innocent video posted by the recently acquired Flames player Jonathan Huberdeau, one small line stood out from the rest. This should have Flames fans quite concerned.

Huberdeau was involved in a blockbuster trade with the Florida Panthers back in July, which had Calgary acquiring the superstar. Along with Mackenzie Weegar, prospect Cole Schwindt and a first-round selection during the 2025 NHL draft, all in exchange for Matthew Tkachuk.

The 29-year-old former Florida captain is coming off his career-best season, with 30 goals, 115 points in 80 games.

This is why Flames fans were ecstatic over receiving the former third-overall pick. However, with Huberdeau becoming a free-agent at the end of the upcoming 2022-23 season, the question remains, will he stay or sign elsewhere?

In a video uploaded to the Calgary Flames official Twitter page, Jonathan announced he will be rocking the number 10 while he's with his new team, but that is not why we're writing this article.

Did you catch it? If not, maybe let's read some tweets from other concerned Flames fans.

Huberdeau said in the video, “hey Flames fans, just want to let you know, I picked my number for the year”.

Flames fans don't seem very confident in their stars sticking around, especially after Johnny Gaudreau also walked away in the off-season.
