The Arizona Coyotes will be without their super star winger Clayton Keller for the remainder of the 2021-22 season, as announced by himself on Twitter earlier this morning.
In the third period of last night's game between the Sharks and the Coyotes, Keller crashed hard in the boards and had to leave the game by stretcher. You can watch the video down below.
There was no contact from a San Jose player, it was just an unfortunate incident which saw Keller sliding awkwardly into the boards.
Here you can see Keller getting taken off the ice by stretcher.
In his fifth full season, the 23-year-old star has been a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing Coyotes season. Their 21-41-5 (47 points) record has them 31st in the NHL standings, above only the Montreal Canadiens.
Keller led the Coyotes in goals (28), assists (35) and points (63) in 65 games until his season abruptly came to a halt.
