Updated: Sep 6, 2023

This morning, Elliotte Friedman provided us an update on the status of Jake Muzzin.

The Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman will be out indefinitely due to a cervical spine injury, and his status won't be re-evaluated until late February.

Muzzin, 33, recorded just one assist in four games for the Leafs this season.

He is currently in the second half of a 4-year, $22,500,000 contract signed prior to the 2020-21 season.
