The NHL has released its list of 10 players who have the potential to breakout during the upcoming 2022-23 season, and we are not surprised at all by this handful of players they selected.

Spencer Knight, Goaltender, Panthers
The 21-year-old goaltender is ready to turn heads entering his third season. Now with 36 career games under his belt with Florida, Knight will be looking to take on a larger role with the Panthers in 2022-23.
Evan Bouchard, Defense, Oilers
Bouchard had an incredible year with the Oilers in 2021-22, recording 12 goals and 43 points in 81 games.
At 21-years-old, look for Bouchard to break-out in his second season as a top-four defenseman on this well equipped Edmonton team.

Alexandar Georgiev, Goaltender, Avalanche
The recently acquired goaltender from the New York Rangers will be looking to make a big impact with his new team.
After a disappointing 15-10-2 record with New York, which saw him put up a mediocre .898 SV%, 2.92 GAA. 26-year-old Georgiev looks to bounce back in a big way.
Bowen Byram, Defense, Avalanche
The Cranbrook, BC product will be ready to impress with Colorado in the upcoming season.
His playoff performance was nothing short of impressive, with 9 points in 20 games and a +15. He was an important factor with the Stanley Cup Champions and will be an important part of their core moving forward.

Vasily Podkolzin, Forward, Canucks
The young Russian forward had began to put up some solid numbers with the Canucks in the final stretch of the season.
Podkolzin, 21, put up 10-points in his final 15 games and played an important role in the Canucks late-season push for the playoffs. Look out for the young sniper in this upcoming season.
Seth Jarvis, Forward, Hurricanes
The 20-year-old Jarvis shined in his first NHL season, putting up 17 goals and 40 points in 68 games. He frequented the top line centered by elite playmaker Sebastian Aho and found himself a perfect fit.

Dawson Mercer, Forward, Devils
The 20-year-old Mercer fit in perfectly in his first NHL season, putting up an impressive 17 goals and 42 points in 82 games.
He fit in comfortably on the wing on the second-line centered by superstar Jack Hughes.
Oliver Wahlstrom, Forward, Islanders
The 22-year-old Wahlstrom has been a consistent piece to this struggling Islanders team. Oliver had 13 goals and 24 points in 73 games during his first NHL season. Expect him to break-out in 2022-23 in a big way.

Cole Sillinger, Forward, Blue Jackets
Sillinger, at 19-years-old, has already become an important piece to this Columbus Blue Jackets team that looks to return to the post-season in 2022-23.
With 16 goals and 31 points in 79 games, Sillinger is capable of greatness and is expected to put up solid numbers entering his second season.
Arthur Kaliyev, Forward, Kings
Kaliyev, at 21-years-old, will be looking to bounce back from a poor playoff performance where he totaled 0 points over their short-lived, 7-game playoff.
In the regular season, however, the Uzbekistan-born Kaliyev had 14 goals and 27 points in 80 points, which wasn't too bad.
