The Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron has spoken out on management's decision to sign, then eventually terminate Mitchell Millers contract over recent days.
"To stay true to my values, really. ... It goes back to what we've built here as an organization, as a team, as a locker room". Said Bergeron.
"It's to be inclusive and a locker room of respect and integrity".
When asked further about if the Bruins locker room universally rejected the Miller signing, Bergeron said: "In a way, yes. I'm glad we were heard".

Mitchell Miller was drafted #111 overall by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2020 NHL draft. His contract was released by the Coyotes when allegations came out about him bullying a former classmate.
