The Winnipeg Jets have added some more forward depth to their team, adding Sam Gagner from the Detroit Red Wings.

The contract is a short-term, 1-year, $750k deal which appears to be an absolute bargain.

At 33-years-old, Gagner still has plenty left in the tank to be a solid bottom-six forward for the Winnipeg Jets.

Gagner brings plenty of consistency and leadership to the table for the Jets, who look to return to the playoffs this upcoming year following a disappointing 2021-22 season.

Last season with Detroit, he had 13 goals and 31 points in 81 games.

The Jets will now be the NHL veteran's seventh different team going into his 16th season.

Over the span of his career, he was drafted by the Oilers with who he spent 9 seasons with. From there he pinballed between several other teams. Arizona, Philadelphia, Columbus, Vancouver, and Detroit.

Sam Gagner is most famously known for recording eight points in a single game. Back on February 2nd, 2012, the centerman recorded 4 goals & 4 assists in an 8-4 drilling of the Chicago Blackhawks.

His historic night tied other NHL legends such as Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Maurice Richard as the 2nd most points in a single game in NHL history.

How many points will Gagner put up with the Winnipeg Jets? Lets hear your answers down below.
