Much like we did when San Jose defeated Vegas 5-4 in a shootout on Sunday night, everyone in the NHL has shifted their attention to tonight's game between the Dallas Stars and the Vegas Golden Knights.

The game is in Dallas tonight, where the Stars hold the power to eliminate not only the Canucks, but also the Golden Knights from playoff contention, they just have to win in regulation.

Once again, the LA Kings are waiting for the outcome of tonight's game, as their next game is on Wednesday night against the Seattle Kraken.

There are plenty of NHL fans who would like to see Vegas miss the playoffs for the first time in their short four-year tenure in the league.

The primary reason they receive so much hate around the league is solely due to Vegas' success as an expansion franchise. They see them as a team that took a player from each team, and built a powerhouse that made it all the way to the Stanley Cup final in their first season.

NHL fans from allover the world are rooting for the Stars tonight.

The Golden Knights collapsed from 1st in the Pacific division, all the way down to 4th and just outside of a wildcard position.

Their hopes to make the playoffs are now relying on them to run the table (3-0-0) in their final three games with Dallas losing at least two of their final three games (1-2-0). Vegas holds the RW (Regulation Wins) advantage over Dallas.

Meanwhile, the Vancouver Canucks will be eliminated from playoff contention if:

  • Tonights Game between Dallas/Vegas goes to Overtime

  • Dallas defeats Vegas in regulation
