Updated: Sep 6, 2023

The Florida Panthers recently acquired 'Matthew Tkachuk' has been suspended for an incident during last nights game between the Florida Panthers and Los Angeles Kings.

The suspension will be for two games, following a hearing on Sunday morning.

The incident unfolded during the final minute of play, where the Kings led the Panthers 5-4.

The Kings players had strong reactions toward Matthew Tkachuk, who has a history with his former Pacific division rival.

Brendan Lemieux said to Tkachuk, "You're a f***ing loser".

According to reports, due to the two-game suspension, Tkachuk will be forfeiting $102,702 in total salary.

The former Calgary Flames forward has 17 points in 12 games so far during the 2022-23 campaign, and is coming off a career-high 104 points in 82 games for the Flames last season.
