One of the league's best goal scorers, and biggest surprises of the 2023-24 season, has become a centerpiece of trade rumours involving multiple teams.
Anaheim Ducks winger Frank Vatrano has been listed in multiple trade rumours with multiple teams.
Red Wings & New York Islanders linked to Vatrano
According to The Fourth Period, the two teams interested in acquiring Vatrano are the Detroit Red Wings and New York Islanders.
The Red Wings are expected to be buyers for the first time in several years at the deadline, as they currently are in the middle of the Eastern Conference playoff race. One spot Detroit would like to improve is on the wing, and Vatrano would give them just that.
Meanwhile, the Islanders would like to add some offense to their lineup, and Vatrano would be a great addition to their top six. He would be more than a rental as he would be there for the 2024-25 season as well.
Vatrano, at 29-years-old, has found another level to his game in his nineth season under his fourth team.
In 49 games, Jake has scored 21 goals, 35 points. 3 goals shy of his career-high set with the Florida Panthers in 2018-19.
With 1 more full season at a $3,625,000 cap hit, Jake could be a pivotal piece for these two eastern teams looking to make a playoff push.
