Here's the hit that led to the Injury:

The rookie phenom has certainly lived up to his sky high expectations in his debut season. He currently has 15 goals and 33 points in 39 games for a Chicago team that sits near the bottom of the NHL overall standings.

His injury certainly makes the Calder trophy race more interesting, as several big name players will look to step up to the spotlight during Bedard's absence.

His timeline for return from injury means the Blackhawks will need to find a replacement for the upcoming All-star weekend. The most likely candidate would be Jason Dickinson at this point.

in 41 games with Chicago this season, Dickinson recorded 14 goals and 21 points. He's on nearly a 30-goal pace, a similar pace to Bedard prior to the injury.
